Google Classroom – a new and revolutionary method of teaching and assessment
Google Classroom is a new service which Google is offering from September to anyone on a Google Apps for Education Domain (GAFE). The idea is that teachers will be able to create assignments in Google Drive, share these with their students, and then collect the work in to grade and comment on. The service looks like it’s going to be very powerful and have lots of interesting features. Up to now we have been using tools such as Doctopus from the New Visions Cloud Lab to distribute files and collect them back in again. The process was great, it worked well, but it had a little bit of a clunky interface. Using the new Google Classroom, you can set up your students and classes and you are ready to go.
